Danny has spent the greater part of his corporate life with the FirstRand banking group which has a staff compliment of over 40 000 people.  Danny’s career, in the banking group, ranged from internal audit to wills and estates, to being a fulltime people management lecturer, to specialising in employment law and industrial relations.

Danny was also involved in salary negotiations with the trade union for many years. Danny retired from the banking group in a general management position. After leaving the banking group, Danny continued consulting to corporates, as well as smaller employer groups, with a main focus on salary negotiations with trade unions, restructuring companies and chairing disciplinary enquiries from executives to shop floor employees. Danny believes in a solutions-based approach through constructive engagement and sensitivity towards all parties.

Danny has also served for many years in various capacities and on various committees on the boards of FirstRand retirement fund and Bankmed medical aid.
